The Green Property Management Course is designed to meet the training requirements for the Credential for Green Property Management (CGPM) offered by NAHMA and NAAEI.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Barry Weaver, CGPM, NAHP-e, SHCM, CPM ®, LEED AP®, is principal of Barry Weaver Consulting, LLC. Barry Weaver Consulting helps clients improve productivity, reduce waste, and efficiently use resources. With over the 20 years of experience, Barry has a comprehensive background in organizational leadership and affordable multifamily management. Barry is a committed “green” professional. He became involved in environmental issues in the late 1970's as an undergraduate at Humboldt State University (HSU), which is internationally known for its' conservation and environmental programs. Barry is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and National Association of Realtor’s Green Resource Council. He is a national speaker on green practices and an approved trainer for the Credential for Green Property Management (CGPM).

This type of approach will produce the largest energy efficiency gains by starting with steps that are low in capital requirements before investing in more capital-intensive improvements.

  3. Module 3: Indoor Environmental Quality
    Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) refers to the quality of the air and environment inside buildings, based on pollutant concentrations and conditions that can affect the health and comfort of occupants. Good IEQ is an essential component of every building. In this module, you’ll learn factors that impact IEQ and how to improve the IEQ of a building.

  5. Module 5: Site Sustainability
    Site development and construction activities are often destructive to the local site ecology. The local site ecology includes factors such as site geology, hydrology, vegetation, and wildlife. Although the greatest opportunities to protect the local site ecology occur during the development phase, there are opportunities following construction to enhance the ecology of a site. In this module, you will learn the fundamentals of green site selection and develop as well as practices that can be applied to the existing sites to enhance sustainability and the local ecology.

    Trends indicate that water will become a scarce resource over the coming decades. Water efficiency is the management of potable or drinkable water, in order to conserve its use and reduce water waste. In this module, you’ll learn three approaches to water efficiency: Utilizing water-efficient plumbing fixtures, appliance, and water system technology; water efficient landscaping; and using water conservation practices.
